The objective of this paper is to show that time-reversal invariance can be exploited in acoustics to create a variety of new methods in non-destructive testing. Two different approaches will be discussed. The first one is the iterative time reversal process. It is an adaptive technique that can be used to detect flaws in complex samples with arrays of transducers.
