  • The various rescue excavations now in progress at the site of Pelusium have brought to light an important number of Amphora stamps. The 67 examples here presented come solely from the eastern section of the ancient agglomeration (TAFE: Amphora stamps from Farama east) which was highly urbanized in Roman times. They come from the environs of the theatre, the water-tower, and especially from around the dock installations at the southern harbor of the town.
