We show how a universal gate set for topological quantum computation in the Ising TQFT, the non-Abelian sector of the putative effective field theory of the $\nu=5/2$ fractional quantum Hall state, can be implemented. This implementation does not require overpasses or surgery, unlike the construction of Bravyi and Kitaev, which we take as a starting point. However, it requires measurements of the topological charge around time-like loops encircling moving quasiaparticles, which require the… Expand

Measurement-Only Topological Quantum Computation via Anyonic Interferometry
• Physics

We describe measurement-only topological quantum computation using both projective and interferometrical measurement of topological charge. We demonstrate how anyonic teleportation can be achievedExpand

Twisted Interferometry: the topological perspective
• Physics
• 2016
Three manifold topology is used to analyze the effect of anyonic interferometers in which the probe anyons' path along an arm crosses itself, leading to a "twisted" or braided space-time trajectoryExpand
Non-Abelian Anyons and Interferometry
This thesis is primarily a study of the measurement theory of non-Abelian anyons through interference experiments. We give an introduction to the theory of anyon models, providing all the formalismExpand
Braid Group Representations arising from the Yang Baxter Equation
This paper aims to determine the images of the braid group under representations afforded by the Yang Baxter equation when the solution is a nontrivial $4 \times 4$ matrix. Making the assumption thatExpand
