}Tibialis anterior tendon rupture causes substantial morbidity. The present study describes the outcomes of augmented, half-thickness tibialis anterior tendon segment transposition, a novel reconstruction technique. This was an institutional review board–approved retrospective review of 3 patients with surgically treated attritional distal rupture with 1-year follow-up. The postdebridement tendon defect prohibited primary repair and was managed by distal transposition of a half-thickness healthy…

Results of this systematic review and meta‐analysis suggests that surgical intervention provides better functional outcomes than conservative management, and use of an extensor hallucis longus autograft is not recommended if surgical intervention is performed.

Fair evidence (Grade B) was found in favour of the use of allografts in lateral ankle ligament reconstruction or treatment of intra-articular calcaneal fracture and fair evidence was found against theUse of allogeneic MSCs in tibiotalar fusions.

A new method for the reconstruction of irreparable tibialis anterior tendon ruptures is presented which involves a free gracilis tendon autograft which is passed through the medial cuneiform to form a double-stranded tendon graft which is repaired end to end to the tibials anterior proximal stump with a Pulvertaft technique.
