Three pyrenomycetes collected from woody debris submerged in freshwater habitats are described as new species of Luttrellia: L. guttulata sp. nov., L. halonata sp. nov. and L. paroulospora sp. nov. A collection of L. estuarina, the type species of the genus, having ascospores surrounded by a gelatinous sheath, a characteristic not observed in the type specimen, is reported.
