Three new heuristic derivations of the Planck scale are described. They are based on basic principles or phenomena of relativistic gravity and quantum physics. The Planck scale quantities thus obtained are within one order of magnitude of the “standard” ones. We contemplate the pair creation of causal bubbles so small that they can be treated as particles, the scattering of a matter wave off the background curvature of spacetime that it induces, and the Hawking evaporation of a black hole in a…

A first step in evolving quantum cosmology

Implementing Mach’s principle and Planck scale simultaneously in entire cosmic evolution can be considered as a first step in quantum cosmology. In this context, we propose a simple model of quantum

The Planck Mass Density Radius of the Universe

What is the size of the universe if we take the estimated mass in the observable universe and compress it until we reach the Planck mass density? We will investigate this using both the

Measurements of the Planck length from a Ball-Clock without Knowledge of Newton’s Gravitational Constant G or the Planck Constant

In this paper we show how one can extract the Planck length from ball with a built-in stopwatch with no knowledge of the Newtonian gravitational constant or the Planck constant. This is remarkable

Three Dimensional Space-Time Gravitational Metric, 3 Space + 3 Time Dimensions

We have recently suggested a new quantum gravity theory that can be unified with quantum mechanics. We have coined this theory collision space-time. This new theory seems to be fully consistent with

Mass Evolution of Schwarzschild Black Holes

In the classical theory of general relativity black holes can only absorb and not emit particles. When quantum mechanical effects are taken into account, then the black holes emit particles as hot

Using a Grandfather Pendulum Clock to Measure the World’s Shortest Time Interval, the Planck Time (With Zero Knowledge of G)

Haug [1] has recently introduced a new theory of unified quantum gravity coined “collision space-time.” From this new and deeper understanding of mass we can also understand how a grandfather

Quantum Simulation of Neutrino Oscillation and Dirac Particle Dynamics in Curved Space-time

Quantum simulation is an important way to study the Dirac particles in a general situation. Discrete quantum walk (DQW), is a powerful quantum simulation scheme, and implementable in well

Six easy roads to the Planck scale

We give six arguments that the Planck scale should be viewed as a fundamental minimum or boundary for the classical concept of spacetime, beyond which quantum effects cannot be neglected and the

The Constants of Nature

Apart from gravity, all physics phenomena can be described by the standard gauge-theory framework of modern particle physics: quantum chromodynamics and the electroweak gauge theory. At least

Is the Universe a Vacuum Fluctuation?

The author proposes a big bang model in which our Universe is a fluctuation of the vacuum, in the sense of quantum field theory. The model predicts a Universe which is homogeneous, isotropic and

A possible relation of the mass of the Universe with the characteristic sizes of elementary particles

We show that the mass of the matter equal to the mass of the observable part of our Universe is reached at the Planck density in the volume which size is comparable with the nucleon size and is close

Particle creation by black holes

AbstractIn the classical theory black holes can only absorb and not emit particles. However it is shown that quantum mechanical effects cause black holes to create and emit particles as if they were

Hyperbolic Differential Equations in Two Dimensions

We analyze the general two‐dimensional hyperbolic differential equation of second order by means of a substitution method. Our main interest lies in the support of the solutions, i.e., in an answer

A Universe from Nothing

This book summaries what we know about the universe, how it began and how we managed to learn this. This document is a summary of the book, ordered by chapters. Since not everything is explained in
