The feed injection system of a catalytic cracker plays a key role in the yield performance of the unit. Ideally, cracking reactions take place in the vapor phase on the solid catalyst surface. Rapid and homogeneous mixing is essential to ensure quick vaporization and intimate contact between the oil and catalyst.
