The wobble uridine in yeast cytosolic tRNA(Lys2)(UUU) and tRNA(Glu3)(UUC) undergoes a thio-modification at the second position (s(2) modification) and a methoxycarbonylmethyl modification at the fifth position (mcm(5) modification).
