A bstractWe study the effects of the CP-breaking topological θ-term in the large Nc QCD model by Witten, Sakai and Sugimoto with Nf degenerate light flavors. We first compute the ground state energy density, the topological susceptibility and the masses of the lowest lying mesons, finding agreement with expectations from the QCD chiral effective action. Then, focusing on the Nf = 2 case, we consider the baryonic sector and determine, to leading order in the small θ regime, the related…
Holographic QCD3 and Chern-Simons theory from anisotropic supergravity
Based on the gauge-gravity duality, we study the three-dimensional QCD (QCD3) and Chern-Simons theory by constructing the anisotropic black D3-brane solution in IIB supergravity. The deformed bulk
Neutron-proton mass difference from gauge/gravity duality
Using gauge/gravity duality as a tool, we compute the strong sector contribution to the neutron-proton mass difference in the Witten-Sakai-Sugimoto model of large $N$ QCD with two non-degenerate
Holographic Theories at Finite θ‐Angle, CP‐Violation, Glueball Spectra and Strong‐Coupling Instabilities
A general class of holographic theories with a nontrivial θ‐angle are analyzed. The instanton density operator is dual to a bulk axion field. We calculate the ground‐state solutions with nontrivial
A holographic description of theta-dependent Yang-Mills theory at finite temperature
Theta-dependent gauge theories can be studied using holographic duality through string theory in certain spacetimes. By this correspondence we consider a stack of N0 dynamical D0-branes as
Theta angle in holographic QCD
V-QCD is a class of effective holographic models for QCD which fully includes the backreaction of quarks to gluon dynamics. The physics of the θ -angle and the axial anomaly can be consistently
Holographic heavy-baryons in the Witten-Sakai-Sugimoto model with the D0-D4 background
We extend the holographic analysis of light-baryon spectrum in [50] to the case involving the heavy flavors. With the construction of the Witten-Sakai-Sugimoto model in the D0D4 background, we use
QCD domain walls, Chern-Simons theories and holography
A bstractMassive QCD at θ = π breaks CP spontaneously and admits domain walls whose dynamics and phases depend on the number of flavors and their masses. We discuss these issues within the
The theta-dependent Yang-Mills theory at finite temperature in a holographic description
The theta-dependent gauge theories can be studied by using holographic duality through string theory on certain spacetimes. Via this correspondence we consider a stack of $N_{0}$ dynamical D0-branes
Deuteron electric dipole moment from holographic QCD
We compute the electric dipole moment (EDM) of the deuteron in the holographic QCD model of Witten-Sakai-Sugimoto. Previously, the leading contribution to the EDM of nucleons was computed, finding
Holographic QCD and the muon anomalous magnetic moment
TLDR
Numerically the results of simple hard-wall holographic QCD models point to larger contributions from axial vector mesons than assumed previously, while the predicted contributions from pseudo-Goldstone bosons agree nicely with data-driven approaches.

The CP-odd sector and $θ$ dynamics in holographic QCD
The holographic model of V-QCD is used to analyze the physics of QCD in the Veneziano large-N limit. An unprecedented analysis of the CP-odd physics is performed going beyond the level of effective
Notes on theta dependence in holographic Yang-Mills
A bstractEffects of the θ parameter are studied in Witten’s model of holographic 4d Yang-Mills, where θ is the coefficient of the CP-breaking topological term. First, the gravity background,
Holographic QCD with dynamical flavors
A bstractGravity solutions describing the Witten-Sakai-Sugimoto model of holographic QCD with dynamical flavors are presented. The field theory is studied in the Veneziano limit, at first order in
Chiral currents and static properties of nucleons in holographic QCD
We analyze static properties of nucleons in the two flavor holographic QCD model of Sakai and Sugimoto described effectively by a five-dimensional U(2) Yang-Mills theory with the Chern-Simons term on
Low energy hadron physics in holographic QCD
We present a holographic dual of four-dimensional, large N_c QCD with massless flavors. This model is constructed by placing N_f probe D8-branes into a D4 background, where supersymmetry is
Holographic Baryons : Static Properties and Form Factors from Gauge/String Duality(Nuclear Physics)
In this paper, we study properties of baryons by using a holographic dual of QCD on the basis of the D4/D8-brane configuration, where baryons are described by a soliton. We first determine the
Baryons and the Chern-Simons Term in Holographic QCD with Three Flavors
We study dynamical baryons in the holographic QCD model of Sakai and Sugimoto in the case of three flavors, with special interest in the construction of the Chern-Simons (CS) term. The baryon
Holographic duals of long open strings
We study the holographic map between long open strings, which stretch between D-branes separated in the bulk space-time, and operators in the dual boundary theory. We focus on a generalization of the
