We investigate the thermalization of Sachdev–Ye–Kitaev (SYK) models coupled via random interactions following quenches from the perspective of entanglement. Previous studies have shown that when a system of two SYK models coupled by random two-body terms is quenched from the thermofield double state with sufficiently low effective temperature, the Rényi entropies do not saturate to the expected thermal values in the large-N limit. Using numerical large-N methods, we first show that the Rényi…

Eigenstate thermalization in the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model
A bstractThe eigenstate thermalization hypothesis (ETH) explains how closed unitary quantum systems can exhibit thermal behavior in pure states. In this work we examine a recently proposed
Quenches and (pre)thermalization in a mixed Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model
We study the nonequilibrium quench dynamics of a mixed Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model, with competing two bodies random interactions leading to maximally chaotic Non-Fermi Liquid dynamics and a single body
Evaporation dynamics of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model
In this paper, we study the evaporation dynamics of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model, with an initial temperature $T_\chi$, by coupling it to a thermal bath with lower temperature $T_\psi<T_\chi$
Spread of entanglement in a Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev chain
A bstractWe study the spread of Rényi entropy between two halves of a Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) chain of Majorana fermions, prepared in a thermofield double (TFD) state. The SYK chain model is a model
Quantum quenches and thermalization in SYK models
A bstractWe study non-equilibrium dynamics in SYK models using quantum quench. We consider models with two, four, and higher fermion interactions (q = 2, 4, and higher) and use two different types of
Thermalization in different phases of charged SYK model
Abstract We study thermalization of charged SYK model in two different phases. We show that both the highly chaotic liquid phase and the dilute gas phase thermalize. Surprisingly the dilute gas
Spectral and thermodynamic properties of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model
We study spectral and thermodynamic properties of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model, a variant of the $k$-body embedded random ensembles studied for several decades in the context of nuclear physics and
On thermalization in the SYK and supersymmetric SYK models
A bstractThe eigenstate thermalization hypothesis is a compelling conjecture which strives to explain the apparent thermal behavior of generic observables in closed quantum systems. Although we are
Strongly Correlated Metal Built from Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev Models.
This work exemplifies an analytically controlled study of a strongly correlated metal crossover in full detail, including thermodynamics, low temperature Landau quasiparticle interactions, and both electrical and thermal conductivity at all scales.
Quench, thermalization, and residual entropy across a non-Fermi liquid to Fermi liquid transition
We study the thermalization, after sudden and slow quenches, of an interacting model having a quantum phase transition from a Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) non-Fermi liquid (NFL) to a Fermi liquid (FL).
