BACKGROUND Treatment of ocular toxoplasmosis is aimed at stabilizing visual function and reducing recurrence rates. METHODS Small controlled studies indicate that available treatments do not affect visual outcome and recurrence rates, and no antibiotic in current use will kill bradyzoites.
