A possible effect of transforming growth factor type-beta 2 (TGF-beta 2) on autoimmune inflammation of the peripheral nervous system (PNS) was evaluated in experimental autoimmune neuritis (EAN) in Lewis rats, a disease model of the human Guillain-Barré syndrome.
