Spin relaxation torque ${\cal T}$ in uniform metallic ferromagnets with the spin-orbit interaction arising from random impurities is calculated microscopically. ${\cal T}$ is shown to be written by spatial derivatives of the electric field, but is not always given as a divergence of a torque dipole density. The result is due to the fast dissipation of the orbital angular momentum, and thus a conserving spin current cannot be defined. It is discussed that the $\beta$ term in the spin transfer…

Spin Dynamics with Inertia in Metallic Ferromagnets
Non-adiabatic contribution of environmental degrees of freedom yields effective inertia of spin in effective spin dynamics. In this paper, we study several aspects of the inertia of spin in metallic
Spin Currents Induced by Nonuniform Rashba-Type Spin–Orbit Field
We study the spin relaxation torque in nonmagnetic or ferromagnetic metals with nonuniform spin–orbit coupling within the Keldysh Green's function formalism. In non-magnet, the relaxation torque is

Time evolution of spin accumulation induced from electric field in ferromagnet
The spin transport induced from an electric field in the ferromagnet with a uniform magnetization is studied microscopically. Taking into account the time dependence of the electric field and the

Another view on Gilbert damping in two-dimensional ferromagnets
A microscopic Kubo-Středa formula for the components of the Gilbert damping tensor is worked out and the elaborated formalism is applied to a two-dimensional Rashba ferromagnet in the weak disorder limit and it is argued that the methodology developed can be safely applied to bilayers made of non- and ferromagnetic metals.
Spin correlation function theory of spin-charge conversion effects
Theory of spin-charge conversion effects in spintronics are presented in terms of correlation functions of physical observables, spin and electric current. Direct and inverse spin Hall effects and
Spin with Inertia
We consider introducing finite moments of inertia to spin. Such inertia generally arises in spin effective dynamics, that is, when we incorporate the effect of environmental degrees of freedom
