Theoretical study on self-pulsing in Tm<sup>3&#x002b;</sup>-doped fiber lasers

Abstract

Self-pulsing of &#x007E;2 &#x03BC;m Tm<sup>3&#x002B;</sup>-doped fiber lasers is theoretical investigated by solving rate equations. The impact of the output coupling, pump strength and particle density on self-pulsing operation is studied, and probable mechanisms are proposed.
