The three‐dimensional elastodynamic model of the open‐circuit voltage generated in an infinite, plane, uniform piezoelectric polymer sheet irradiated by a plane monochromatic acoustic wave is mathematically developed. The model is shown to be correct asymptotically by comparison to the solution for an unstretched sheet (i.e., an isotropic sheet).
