We present Hubble Space Telescope/WFPC2 images of eighteen galaxies situated in the vicinity of the Local Group (LG) as part of an ongoing snapshot survey of nearby galaxies. Their distances derived from the magnitude of the tip of the red giant branch are $1.92\pm0.10$ Mpc (ESO 294-010), $3.06\pm0.37$ (NGC 404), $3.15\pm0.32$ (UGCA 105), $1.36\pm0.07$ (Sex B), $1.33\pm0.08$ (NGC 3109), $2.64\pm0.21$ (UGC 6817), $2.86\pm0.14$ (KDG 90), $2.27\pm0.19$ (IC 3104), $2.54\pm0.17$ (UGC 7577), $2.56…

Distances to nearby galaxies in Sculptor
We present an analysis of Hubble Space Telescope/WFPC2 images of nine nearby galaxies in Sculptor. We derive their distances from the luminosity of the tip of the red giant branch stars with a
Distances to nearby galaxies around IC 342
We present an analysis of Hubble Space Telescope/WFPC2 images of six nearby galaxies in the projected vicinity of IC 342: Cas dSph, KK 35, UGCA 86, Cam A, NGC 1560, and Cam B. We derive distances to
The Hubble Flow around the Centaurus A/M83 Galaxy Complex
We present Hubble Space Telescope ACS images and color-magnitude diagrams for 24 nearby galaxies in and near the constellation of Centaurus with radial velocities VLG < 550 km s-1. Distances are
Galaxy flow in the Canes Venatici I cloud
We present an analysis of Hubble Space Telescope/WFPC2 images of eighteen galaxies in the Canes Venatici I cloud. We derive their distances from the luminosity of the tip of the red giant branch
H i observations of Sextans A and B with the SKA pathfinder KAT-7
HI observations of the Local Group dwarf irregular galaxies Sextans A and B, obtained with the Karoo Array Telescope (KAT-7) are presented. The KAT-7 wide field of view and excellent surface
Cosmic flow around local massive galaxies
Aims. We use accurate data on distances and radial velocities of galaxies around the Local Group, as well as around 14 other massive nearby groups, to estimate their radius of the zero-velocity
A dynamical model of the local cosmic expansion
We combine the equations of motion that govern the dynamics of galaxies in the local volume with Bayesian techniques in order to fit orbits to published distances and velocities of galaxies within
HST Imaging of the Local Volume Dwarf Galaxies Pisces A&B: Prototypes for Local Group Dwarfs
We present observations of the Pisces A and B galaxies with the Advanced Camera for Surveys on the Hubble Space Telescope. Photometry from these images clearly resolve a Red Giant Branch for both
Astrophysical Distance Scale. II. Application of the JAGB Method: A Nearby Galaxy Sample
We apply the near-infrared J-region Asymptotic Giant Branch (JAGB) method, recently introduced by Madore \& Freedman (2020), to measure the distances to 14 nearby galaxies out to 4 Mpc. We use the
The Hubble flow around the Local Group
We use updated data on distances and velocities of galaxies in the proximity of the Local Group (LG) in order to establish properties of the local Hubble flow. For 30 neighbouring galaxies with

A new galaxy near the Local Group in Draco
We present HST WFPC2 and ground-based images of the low surface brightness dwarf Irr/Sph galaxy KKR 25 in Draco. Its colour-magnitude diagram shows red giant branch stars with the tip at $I=
The mass of the Milky Way galaxy
We use the Jaffe model as a global mass distribution for the Galaxy and determine the circular velocity $v_c$ and the Jaffe radius $r_j$ using the satellites of the Galaxy, estimates of the local
The Recent Star Formation History of GR 8 from Hubble Space Telescope Photometry of the Resolved Stars
?????We have used the Hubble Space Telescope to observe the resolved stars in the dwarf irregular galaxy GR 8 (DDO 155, UGC 8091). The data consisted of dithered Wide Field Planetary Camera 2 images
Hubble Space Telescope Photometry of the Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy ESO 410-G005*
We present Hubble Space Telescope WFPC2 imaging of the nearby low surface brightness dwarf spheroidal galaxy ESO 410-G005, which has been resolved into stars for the first time. The resulting
The Local Hubble flow: A Manifestation of dark energy
Our local environment at $r<10$ Mpc expands linearly and smoothly, as if ruled by a uniform matter distribution, while observations show the very clumpy local universe. This is a long standing enigma
Stellar Populations and the Local Group Membership of the Dwarf Galaxy DDO 210
We present deep BVI CCD photometry of the stars in the dwarf galaxy DDO 210. The color-magnitude diagrams of DDO 210 show a well-defined red giant branch (RGB) and a blue plume. The tip of the RGB is
Deep Hubble Space Telescope Imaging of IC 1613. I. Variable Stars and Distance
We present WFPC2 VI photometry of a field in the halo of IC 1613, finding 13 RR Lyrae stars and 11 Cepheids. Our photometry of the red giant branch tip and red clump is used to derive distances to IC
HI observations of nearby galaxies - IV. More dwarf galaxies in the southern sky
We carried out a systematic search for nearby dwarf galaxies in the northern sky based on POSS-II film copies. As a result we present a list of 101 nearby dwarf galaxy candidates mainly of low
Detailed images and distance measurements for eighteen dwarf irregular galaxies in the Canes Venatici cloud
In the Canes Venatici cloud, eighteen dwarf irregular galaxies were observed in B; V bands at the Nordic Optical Telescope under a seeing of one arc- sec. Most of the galaxies having radial
On the Cepheid variables of the nearby irregular galaxy NGC 3109
Twenty-one Cepheids in NGC 3109, discovered by Sandage A. & Carlson G. [AJ, 96, 1599 (1988)], have been measured into a new photometric CCD sequence in B. A zero-point offset of 0.29 mag has been
