The use of trypsin-treated human group 0 erythrocytes in rubella hemagglutination-inhibition test

Abstract

The sensitivity and specificity of untreated and trypsin-treated human group 0 erythrocytes in the rubella HAI test were compared with those of newly hatched chick erythrocytes. It was found that untreated human group 0 erythrocytes were four times less sensitive, requiring four times higher concentration of the hemagglutinin in the test than the chick… (More)
