The extent to which cultural control measures could be used to reduce the need for nematicides was examined in field experiments on vegetable crops in Bundaberg, Queensland. Evaluation of the twelve most common vegetable crops grown in the region showed that all were susceptible to root-knot nematodes (Meloidowe spp.), as nematode multiplication occurred on all crops. Tomato, pumpkins, rockmelons, watemelons, eggplant and zucchini infested with Meloidogynes pp. yielded 15–36% less than nematode… CONTINUE READING
