Bisphosphonates are widely used for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in adulthood. In the last years, bisphosphonates have been increasingly used in pediatric patients for the treatment of a growing number of disorders associated with osteoporosis, resistant hypercalcemia or heterotopic calcifications.
