To study the intestinal fatty acid absorption in fish in vitro, enterocytes were isolated from the intestine of rainbow trout and incubated with an equimolar mixture of seven fatty acids [16:0, 18:1n-9, 18:2n-6, 18:3n-3, 20:4n-6, 20:5n-3 and 22:6n-3] in which the component carrying a radioactive label was varied.
