We systematically calculate the quantum extremal surface (QES) associated with Hawking radiation for general D-dimensional (D ≥ 2) asymptotically flat (or AdS) eternal black holes using the island formula. By adopting the standard ”black hole couples thermal baths” model, we find that a QES exists in the near-horizon region outside the black hole when c ·G(D) is smaller enough where c is the central charge of the conformal matter and G(D) the Newton constant. The locations of the QES in these…

Entropy of Hawking Radiation for Two-Sided Hyperscaling Violating Black Branes
In this paper, we study the von Neumann entropy of Hawking radiation SR for a d + 2dimensional Hyperscaling Violating (HV) black brane which is coupled to two Minkowski spacetimes as the thermal

We study the Page curve and the information paradox for the BTZ black hole which is coupled to two thermal baths by applying the island paradigm. We prove that as the island locates outside the event
Entanglement Phase Structure of a Holographic BCFT in a Black Hole Background
We compute holographic entanglement entropy for subregions of a BCFT thermal state living on a nongravitating black hole background. The system we consider is doubly holographic and dual to an
