Summary Objective: to assess the efficacy of a lipid extract of the New Zealand green-lipped mussel, Perna canaliculus in rheumatoid and osteoarthritis and compare it with green-lipped mussel powder. Design: A double-blind 3-month parallel comparison of the two preparations and a further 3-month period of lipid extract for all patients.
