BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Although transcranial Doppler (TCD) is useful for evaluation and treatment of ischemic stroke, temporal acoustic window failure (TAWF) limits its application. We performed this study to reveal whether initial brain CT of acute stroke patients predicted TAWF.
