Osteoporosis is characterised by uncoupled balance of bone formation and resorption with persisting predominant advantage of the later,resulting in reduced bone mass,deteriorated bone microarchitecture and increased risk for fragility fractures. RNA interference,a techonology by silencing gene expression in post-transcriptional level,is widely used in the study of treating diseases such as virus infection and cancers,and may play potential role in the area of antiosteoporosis therapy.
