Pelargonium cucullatum (L.) L’Herit. is shown to consist of three infraspecific taxa, which are given subspecific ranking under the names  P. cucullatum subsp.  cucullatum , subsp. tabulare Volschenk and subsp. strigifolium Volschenk. It is also shown that P. angulosum (Mill.) L’Herit.  ( Geranium angulosum Mill.) is synonymous with P. cucullatum subsp.  cucullatum , but that the name  P. angulosum has been misapplied for many years to subsp. strigifolium. The latter was formerly known as  P…

Genetic characterization of Pelargonium L’Hér. germplasm
Fifteen species and eight cultivars of the section Pelargonium (DC.) Harv., two species of the section Ligularia (Sweet) Harv. and three species of the section Cortusina (DC.) Harv. were tested for
History and Culture of Regal Pelargonium
TLDR
Regal pelargoniums (Pelargonium ×domesticum) are one of the lesser-known relatives of the ever-popular zonal geraniums, and have their origins in South Africa.
The variability of nuclear DNA content of different Pelargonium species estimated by flow cytometry
TLDR
The reported genome sizes are a step forward towards the characterization of the Pelargonium collection within the German Gene Bank for Ornamental Plants and a valuable base for future sequencing programs of the pelargonium genomes.
