X-ray structure of prephenate dehydratase from Streptococcus mutans
TLDR
The X-ray structure of prephenate dehydratase from Streptococcus mutans shows that the catalytic site of Sm-PDT has closed state conformation without phenylalanine molecule bound to its regulatory site, suggesting a possibility that the binding of phenylAlanine in its regulatorysite may not be the only prerequisite for the closed state Conformation of Sm -PDT.

Freshwater reviews : a journal of the Freshwater Biological Association
  • 2010
TLDR
The current knowledge of UVR impact on freshwater zooplankton at species and community levels is reviewed, and how global change over the last three decades has influenced the UVR milieu in lakes is discussed.
A enzima 2-trans-enoil-ACP (COA) redutase de Mycobacterium tuberculosis : inibição por um novo composto e estudos espectroscópicos do seu mecanismo de resistência à hidrazida do ácido isonicotínico
TLDR
The molecular modeling of M. tuberculosis shikimate kinase should provide a structural framework on which the design of specific inhibitors may be based and pave the way for structural and functional efforts towards anti-mycobacterial agents development.
Cell and tissue cultures of Catharanthus roseus: A literature survey
TLDR
The aim of this review is to summarise the progress achieved since the previous review of this subject from 1988 to December 1993 and several factors influencing the production of indole alkaloids are discussed.
The entry reaction of the plant shikimate pathway is subjected to highly complex metabolite-mediated regulation
TLDR
These findings reveal the highly complex regulation of the entry reaction of the plant shikimate pathway and lay the foundation for efforts to control the production of AAAs and diverse aromatic natural products in plants.
The entry reaction of the plant shikimate pathway is subjected to highly complex metabolite-mediated regulation.
TLDR
Describing recombinant Arabidopsis thaliana DHSs revealed the highly complex regulation of the entry reaction of the plant shikimate pathway and lay the foundation for efforts to control the production of AAAs and diverse aromatic natural products in plants.
The Effects of Herbicides Targeting Aromatic and Branched Chain Amino Acid Biosynthesis Support the Presence of Functional Pathways in Broomrape
TLDR
It was shown that imazapic is translocated from the foliage of treated plants to broomrape attachments on its roots and controls the parasite, and both herbicides inhibited P. aegyptiaca callus and flowering shoots and are inhibited by glyphosate and imazAPic, respectively, leading to deficiency of those amino acids in the parasite tissues and ultimately, death of the parasite.
