A sexual adult trematode that is considered to be conspecific with the distinctive larval trematode Cercaria praecox Walker, 1971 is reported from the kyphosid fish Scorpis lineolata Kner in Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia. The sexual adult is consistent with the cercarial body of Cercaria praecox in having a single caecum with an asymmetrical appendix, symmetrical testes immediately posterior to the ventral sucker, and the ovary and vitellarium both well posterior to the testes. A review of the genus Antorchis Linton, 1911 (Trematoda: Faustulidae) from Indo-Pacific fishes with the description of a new species

The wide distribution of A. pomacanthi was demonstrated by the generation of identical ITS2 rDNA sequences for specimens from Ningaloo Reef off Western Australia, off Lizard and Heron Islands (GBR) and off New Caledonia, localities separated by up to 5,300 km.

Description of a New Species of Bacciger (Digenea: Gymnophalloidea) Infecting the American Gizzard Shad, Dorosoma cepedianum (Lesueur, 1818), and Molecular Characterization of Cercaria rangiae Wardle, 1983, with Molecular Phylogeny of Related Digenea

ABSTRACT: A new species of Bacciger Nicoll, 1914, is described from the digestive tract of the American gizzard shad, Dorosoma cepedianum (Lesueur), in some inland waterways of Mississippi, and in

Two new species of Bacciger Nicoll, 1914 (Trematoda: Faustulidae) in species of Herklotsichthys Whitley (Clupeidae) from Queensland waters

Two new species of Bacciger Nicoll, 1914 (Faustulidae) are described infecting clupeids collected from the waters off Queensland, Australia and Phylogenetic analysis of available 28S data show they are most closely related to Pseudobacciger cheneyae Sun, Bray, Yong, Cutmore & Cribb, 2014, also recorded off Lizard Island.

Galactosomum otepotiense n. sp. (Trematoda: Heterophyidae) infecting four different species of fish-eating birds in New Zealand: genetically identical but morphologically variable.

A new species of Galactosomum otepotiense is described, infecting four different piscivorous birds in New Zealand: Caspian terns, red-billed and black-backed gulls and little blue penguins, which is distinguished from most other members of the 'bearupi-group' in having a single circle of spines on the ventral sucker, and spines over most of the body.

A new species of Steringotrema Odhner, 1911 (Trematoda: Fellodistomidae) from the New Zealand sole Peltorhamphus novaezeelandiae Günther off Kaka point in the Catlins, South Island, New Zealand

DNA sequences of the 28S ribosomal gene were generated and phylogenetic analyses were undertaken using maximum likelihood and Bayesian inference to assess the phylogenetic position of the new species within the family Fellodistomidae Nicoll, 1909, showing that the newspecies of Steringotrema is nested as the sister species of steringophorus dorsolineatus.

A new species of Plectognathotrema Layman, 1930 (Trematoda: Zoogonidae) from an Australian monacanthid, with a molecular assessment of the phylogenetic position of the genus

The generation of novel partial 28S ribosomal DNA sequences allowed a phylogenetic assessment of the genus and demonstrated that Plectognathotrema clearly belongs in the Zoogonidae Odhner, 1902, rather than in the Fellodistomidae Nicoll, 1909, where it is currently assigned.

Bucephalus damriyasai n. sp. (Digenea: Bucephalidae) from the blacktip trevally Caranx heberi (Bennett) (Perciformes: Carangidae) off Bali, Indonesia

The new species Bucephalus damriyasai n. sp. is described from Caranx heberi (Bennett) from off Bali, Indonesia. It can be distinguished from other Bucephalus spp. recorded from carangid hosts by its

New trematode species Lecithostaphylus halongi n. sp. (Zoogonidae, Microphalloidea) and Gymnotergestia strongyluri n. sp. (Fellodistomidae, Gymnophalloidea) from beloniform fishes in Vietnam

Abstract In this study we described two new trematode species, Lecithostaphylus halongi n. sp. (Zoogonidae, Lecithostaphylinae) and Gymnotergestia strongyluri n. sp. (Fellodistomidae, Tergestiinae),
