The purpose of this study was to develop a new micropropagation system for Tylophora indica, an important medicinal plant in India, using root explants as starting material. Root explants cultured on MS medium supplemented with 6-benzyladenine (BA) or 2-isopentyladenine (2iP) produced organogenic nodular meristemoids (NMs) within 4 weeks.
