In this paper, the inverse scattering problem for dielectric objects in a two-dimensional half-space geometry is dealt with. The discussion is worked out in the framework of the linear model of the Born Approximation (BA) and the role of the measurement configuration is investigated with regard to the information content of the scattered field data.
