The objective of this study was to examine the relationship between mitochondrial function and residual feed intake in Angus steers. Individual feed intakes were recorded for a contemporary group of 40 steers via the GrowSafe feed intake system. Intakes were then used to calculate residual feed intake (RFI), a measure of efficiency.
