In the perfused rat mesentery, when adrenergic nerves were blocked with guanethidine and vascular smooth muscle tone was increased with methoxamine, transmural field stimulation caused a dilator response. Bradykinin significantly suppressed vasodilator responses to a transmural field stimulation in a concentration-dependent manner.
