Abstract The thermal decomposition of CCl 3 O 2 NO 2 has been reevaluated based on new rate data for the reaction of Cl + NO 2 . The revised rate coefficient for CCl 3 O 2 NO 2 thermal decay at about 1 atm total pressure (mainly N 2 ) is 1.42 × 10 16 × exp(−11500/T) s −1 from 268–298 K.
