OBJECTIVE To estimate the prevalence of cervical human papillomavirus (HPV) and cytological abnormalities while addressing demographic and reproductive variables in a sample of rural Nigerian patients. METHODS In March 2004, a medical project was conducted in Okene, Nigeria.
