Through a MEDLINE and PsycLIT database search, all US studies relating to the prevalence of borderline personality disorder (BPD) among obese individuals were reviewed. The highest rates of BPD among these individuals were found in samples recruited from psychologically oriented settings (i.e., eating disorders program, mental health setting).
