The existence of the universe is an enigma because the energy at genesis should have created equal amounts of matter and antimatter, which should have subsequently annihilated. What happened in the baryogenesis process to cause matter to predominate in the cosmos? A candidate conceptual solution is presented based on the cordus conjecture, and featuring the antineutrino in a prominent role. A detailed model is produced for the production of an electron-antielectron pair from photons. The novel…

Asymmetrical Neutrino Induced Decay of Nucleons

Problem- The operation of neutrino detectors shows that nuclide decay rates can be affected by loading of neutrino species. However the underlying principles of this are poorly understood. Purpose-

Photon emission and absorption: The electron's internal processes

A conceptual model is developed for the processes of photon emission and absorption. While the emission of light is well known in terms of quantum changes in energy levels of an electron, the

Speed of light dependency on fabric density

The invariance of the in-vacuo speed of light is a premise of general relativity and all the cosmological models built thereon. There is also good empirical reason to believe it constant in the

Synchronous Interlocking of Discrete Forces: Strong Force Reconceptualised in a NLHV Solution

The conventional requirements for the strong force are that it is strongly attractive between nucleons whether neutral neutrons or positively charged protons; that it is repulsive at close range;

Bundles of Nothingness: Unravelling the Zero-Dimensional Particle Premise of Fundamental Physics

The conventional conceptual framework for fundamental physics is built on a tacit construct: the premise of particles being zero-dimensional (0-D) points. There has never been a viable alternative to

Time: Frequency, irreversibility, and connectedness of matter

A novel conceptual model is described for time, one that is independent of existing theories. The cordus conjecture suggests that time consists of frequency oscillations of matter. The arrow is

Circumventing Bell’s Theorem? Design of a Non-Local Hidden-Variable Model with Physical Substructures

The purpose of this paper was to look for non-local designs of particles. We show that the Bell-type theorems are not proof against a hidden variable solution, by presenting such a model complete

What really is time ? A multiple-level ontological theory for time as a property of matter

A non-local hidden-variable (NLHV) solution is used to address the ontological question: What is time? This NLHV theory (‘cordus’), which has been successfully applied to other phenomena, includes a

Annihilation mechanisms : Intermediate processes in the conversion of electron and antielectron into photons

The outcomes of annihilation are known, including some of the intermediary products, and the process can be represented by Feynman diagrams and modelled mathematically. However the mechanisms of

SPECIAL ISSUE: Violation of CP in variance, C asymmetry, and baryon asymmetry of the universe

This form of notation is connected with the quark concept; we ascribe to the/?, n, and Л quarks n c = + I, and to antiquarks, и,. = — 1. The theory proposes that under laboratory conditions processes

Origin of the matter-antimatter asymmetry

Although the origin of matter-antimatter asymmetry remains unknown, continuing advances in theory and improved experimental limits have ruled out some scenarios for baryogenesis, for example,

Electroweak Baryogenesis

We demonstrate the viability of electroweak baryogenesis scenarios in which the necessary departure from equilibrium is realized by the evolution of a network of topological defects. We consider

Asymmetric dark matter from leptogenesis

We present a new realization of asymmetric dark matter in which the dark matter and lepton asymmetries are generated simultaneously through two-sector leptogenesis. The right-handed neutrinos couple

Leptogenesis from gravity waves in models of inflation.

We present a new mechanism for creating the observed cosmic matter-antimatter asymmetry which satisfies all three Sakharov conditions from one common thread, gravitational waves. We generate lepton
