We present results of the long-term multiwavelength study of optical, UV, and X-ray variability of the nearby changing-look (CL) Seyfert NGC 1566 observed with the Swift Observatory and the MASTER Global Robotic Network from 2007 to 2019. We started spectral observations with South African Astronomical Observatory 1.9-m telescope soon after the brightening was discovered in July 2018 and present here the data for the interval between 2018 August and 2019 September. This paper concentrates on… Expand

Changing looks of the nucleus of the Seyfert galaxy NGC 1566 compared with other changing‐look AGNs
We present results of a long-term optical, UV and X-ray study of variability of the nearby changing-look (CL) Seyfert NGC 1566 which was observed with the Swift Observatory from 2007 to 2020. WeExpand
Broad-band X-ray observations of the 2018 outburst of the changing-look active galactic nucleus NGC 1566
We study the nature of the changing-look Active Galactic Nucleus NGC 1566 during its June 2018 outburst. During the outburst, the X-ray intensity of the source rises up to ∼ 25 − 30 times compared toExpand
Multiwavelength monitoring and reverberation mapping of a changing look event in the Seyfert galaxy NGC 3516
We present the results of photometric and spectroscopic monitoring campaigns of the changing look AGN NGC 3516 carried out in 2018 to 2020 covering the wavelength range from the X-ray to the optical.Expand

DISCOVERY OF MORE CHANGING LOOK EVENTS IN NGC 1566
We summarize a study of optical, UV and X-ray light curves of the nearby changing look active galactic nucleus in the galaxy NGC 1566 obtained with the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory and the MASTERExpand
New changing look case in NGC 1566
We present a study of optical, UV and X-ray light curves of the nearby changing look active galactic nucleus in the galaxy NGC 1566 obtained with the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory and the MASTERExpand
The curtain remains open: NGC 2617 continues in a high state
Optical and near-infrared photometry, optical spectroscopy, and soft X-ray and UV monitoring of the changing look active galactic nucleus NGC 2617 show that it continues to have the appearance of aExpand
Long-term optical and X-ray variability of the Seyfert galaxy Markarian 79
We present the results of concurrent X-ray and optical monitoring of the Seyfert 1 galaxy Mrk 79 over a period of more than 5 yr. We find that on short to medium time-scales (days to a few tens ofExpand
X-ray spectra reveal the reawakening of the repeat changing-look AGN NGC 1566
We present simultaneous XMM-Newton and NuSTAR observations of the repeat changing-look AGN NGC 1566, which dramatically increased in brightness in the IR to X-ray bands in 2018. The broad-band X-rayExpand
Long-term variability of the optical spectra of NGC 4151. I. Light curves and flux correlations
Aims. Results of long-term spectral monitoring of the active galactic nucleus of NGC 4151 are presented (11 years, from 1996 to 2006). Methods. High quality spectra (S /N > 50 in the continuum nearExpand
The Relative Wavelength Independence of IR Time Lags in NGC 4151 during the Years 2010–2015
We present results of a study of the correlation between the infrared (JHKL) and optical (B) fluxes of the nucleus of the Seyfert galaxy NGC 4151 for the years 2010–2015 using our own data (partiallyExpand
Long-term optical spectral monitoring of a changing-look active galactic nucleus NGC 3516 – I. Continuum and broad-line flux variability
Here we present the long-term optical spectral monitoring of a changing-look active galactic nuclei (AGN) NGC 3516 that covers 22 years (from 1996 to 2018). We explore a variability in the broadExpand
The typecasting of active galactic nuclei: Mrk 590 no longer fits the role
We present multiwavelength observations that trace more than 40 yr in the life of the active galactic nucleus (AGN) in Mrk 590, traditionally known as a classic Seyfert 1 galaxy. From spectraExpand
Strong variability of the coronal line region in NGC 5548
We present the second extensive study of the coronal line variability in an active galaxy. Our data set for the well-studied Seyfert galaxy NGC 5548 consists of five epochs of quasi-simultaneousExpand
