The organization of neurons in the cat ventrobasal complex (VB) which project to somatosensory cortex (SI) was investigated by the use of the retrograde transport of the enzyme horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Two histochemical procedures were used to visualize retrogradely transported HRP.
