Based on an almost complete three-dimensionally preserved skeleton, a new genus and species of an azhdarchoid pterosaur Aurorazhdarcho primordius n.gen. n.sp. from the Late Jurassic Solnhofen limestone (Early Tithonian) of the Eichstätt area (Bavaria, Germany) is described. Furthermore, a new family the Protazhdarchidae is proposed. The specimen is attributed to the Azhdarchoidea based on its glenoid fossa level with the sternum, the shovel-like shape of the sternal plate, the wide furca of the…

A Late Jurassic-?earliest Cretaceous ctenochasmatid (Pterosauria, Pterodactyloidea): The first report of pterosaurs from Uruguay
Abstract The Tacuarembo Formation contains a faunal assemblage with some taxa clearly indicative of a Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous age. In this context, the first remains of Uruguayan pterosaurs
New postcranial elements of the Thalassodrominae (Pterodactyloidea, Tapejaridae) from the Romualdo Formation (Aptian–Albian), Santana Group, Araripe Basin, Brazil
TLDR
New postcranial material from the Romualdo Formation (Aptian-Albian) from the Araripe Basin is described, which is the most complete postc Cranial material assigned to the Thalassodrominae described so far.
A New Crested Pterosaur from the Early Cretaceous of Spain: The First European Tapejarid (Pterodactyloidea: Azhdarchoidea)
TLDR
The discovery of Europejara in the Barremian of the Iberian Peninsula reveals an earlier and broader global distribution of tapejarids, suggesting a Eurasian origin of this group.
A large pterosaur femur from the Kimmeridgian, Upper Jurassic of Lusitanian Basin, Portugal
The pterosaur fossil record in Portugal is scarce, comprising mainly isolated teeth and rare postcranial material. Here, we describe a well-preserved right proximal femur of a pterodactyloid
New ctenochasmatid pterosaur record for Gondwana: discovery in the Lower Cretaceous continental deposits of the Atacama Desert, northern Chile
Abstract New pterosaur remains from Cerro La Isla, Quebrada Monardes Formation (Lower Cretaceous), Northern Chile, are described. The material comprises mandibular remains preserving dental bases and
Cranial Morphology of a Scaphognathus-Like Pterosaur, Jianchangnathus robustus, Based on a New Fossil from the Tiaojishan Formation of Western Liaoning, China
TLDR
As a significant pterosaur assemblage before the Solnhofen Limestone, the Tiaojishan Formation provides a new perspective in understanding the evolution and diversity of the non-pterodactyloids.
Palaeobiology, Morphology, and Flight Characteristics of Pterodactyloid Pterosaurs
TLDR
The “crocodilian-like” sequence of suture closure between the neural arches and vertebral bodies of the thoracic vertebrae is confirmed within the azhdarchoid pterosaurs, indicating that the developmental timing between the Azhdarchoidea and Ornithocheiroidea did not significantly differ.
A New Archaeopterodactyloid Pterosaur from the Jiufotang Formation of Western Liaoning, China, with a Comparison of Sterna in Pterodactylomorpha
TLDR
The sternum of Forfexopterus is nearly complete and provides the first incontrovertible evidence about the position of sternocoracoid articulations in the Archaeopterodactyloidea.
An unusual edentulous pterosaur from the Early Cretaceous Romualdo Formation of Brazil
Numerous taxa make up the Early Cretaceous fauna of Brazil, including Ornithocheiroidea, Tapejaridae, Thalassodromidae, Chaoyangopteridae and a purported member of Azhdarchidae. Dsungaripteridae has
A new azhdarchoid pterosaur from the Cenomanian (Late Cretaceous) of Lebanon
A new pterosaur, Microtuban altivolans gen. et sp. nov., is described from the Sannine Formation of northern Lebanon. The specimen is the first pterosaur from the Early Cenomanian (Late Cretaceous)

Evolution and palaeobiology of pterosaurs
TLDR
From the few fossils from the Bavarian lithographic limestones known to Cuvier and his contemporaries, the number of pterosaur specimens has increased enormously, starting with the Early Jurassic specimens from Lyme Regis found by Mary Anning in the 1820s.
Muzquizopteryx coahuilensis n.g., n. sp., a nyctosaurid pterosaur with soft tissue preservation from the Coniacian (Late Cretaceous) of northeast Mexico (Coahuila)

A NEW LOWER CRETACEOUS SINOPTERID PTEROSAUR FROM THE WESTERN LIAONING,CHINA

TLDR
An almost complete, ornithocheirid pterosaur from the Romulado Member of the Santana Formation, NE Brazil is described, confirming the absence of a crest as a genuine con- dition rather than a consequence of ontogenetic immaturity and indicating a shift from the previously observed pattern of suture closure in pterodactyloid pterosaurs.
