Using a sensitive double-immunostaining technique with nonconjugated cholera toxin B subunit (CT) as a retrograde tracer, we examined the cells of origin and the histochemical nature of afferents to the cat nucleus reticularis magnocellularis (Mc) of the medulla oblongata.
