Membranous samples of human aortic valve cusps were subjected to sinusoidal fluid pressure variations (frequency range, 0.5-5 Hz) to assess their dynamic viscoelastic properties. The storage (elastic) and loss (viscous) moduli and phase lag between the stressing function and response were found to be independent of the frequencies applied.
