A bstractWe show that the late-time expansion of the energy density of N$$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills plasma at infinite coupling undergoing Bjorken flow takes the form of a multi-parameter transseries. Using the AdS/CFT correspondence we find a gravity solution which supplements the well known large proper-time expansion by exponentially-suppressed sectors corresponding to quasinormal modes of the AdS black-brane. The full solution also requires the presence of further…

Holographic Bjorken flow at large-D

A bstractWe use gauge/gravity duality to study the dynamics of strongly coupled gauge theories undergoing boost invariant expansion in an arbitrary number of space-time dimensions (D). By keeping the

Holographic Bjorken flow at large-D

We use gauge/gravity duality to study the dynamics of strongly coupled gauge theories undergoing boost invariant expansion in an arbitrary number of space-time dimensions (D). By keeping the scale of

Transasymptotics and hydrodynamization of the Fokker-Planck equation for gluons

We investigate the non-linear transport processes and hydrodynamization of a system of gluons undergoing longitudinal boost-invariant expansion. The dynamics is described within the framework of the

Critical behaviour of hydrodynamic series

We investigate the time-dependent perturbations of strongly coupled N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 SYM theory at finite temperature and finite chemical potential with a second order phase transition. This

Entropy production from quasinormal modes

Horizons of black branes have an associated entropy current with non-negative divergence. We compute this divergence in a late-time transseries expansion for an inhomogeneous system evolving towards

Transseries for causal diffusive systems

The large proper-time behaviour of expanding boost-invariant fluids has provided many crucial insights into quark-gluon plasma dynamics. Here we formulate and explore the late-time behaviour of

Analytic resurgence in the O(4) model

We study the perturbative expansion of the ground state energy in the presence of an external field coupled to a conserved charge in the integrable two-dimensional O(4) nonlinear sigma model. By

Exponential approach to the hydrodynamic attractor in Yang-Mills kinetic theory

We use principal component analysis to study the hydrodynamic attractor in Yang-Mills kinetic theory undergoing the Bjorken expansion with Color Glass Condensate initial conditions. The late time

Resurgence in the O(4) sigma model

We analyze the free energy of the integrable two dimensional O(4) sigma model in a magnetic field. We use Volin’s method to extract high number (2000) of perturbative coefficients with very high

Hydrodynamic gradient expansion in linear response theory

One of the foundational questions in relativistic fluid mechanics concerns the properties of the hydrodynamic gradient expansion at large orders. Studies of expanding systems arising in heavy-ion

Resurgence of the cusp anomalous dimension

A bstractWe revisit the strong coupling limit of the cusp anomalous dimension in planar N=4$$ \mathcal{N}=4 $$ super Yang-Mills theory. It is known that the strong coupling expansion is asymptotic

The Resurgence of Instantons: Multi-Cut Stokes Phases and the Painlevé II Equation

Resurgent transseries have recently been shown to be a very powerful construction for completely describing nonperturbative phenomena in both matrix models and topological or minimal strings. These
