We investigate the decay cascade of the ϒ(nS) meson including the newly found χb(3P) state in pp and PbPb collisions at LHC energies. The main goal is to quantitatively determine the additional suppression of the ϒ(nS) states in PbPb collisions relative to pp at LHC energies of when the χb(3P) state is included together with the ϒ(nS) and χb(1P,2P) states. It is found that the suppression of ϒ(1S) in PbPb collisions relative to pp is increased by at most 7% through the inclusion of χb(3P…

We substantially refine our previously developed model for the suppression of Upsilon mesons in the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) formed in 2.76 TeV PbPb collisions at the LHC. It accounts for

Bottomia physics at RHIC and LHC

In UU collisions at RHIC energies and PbPb collisions at LHC energies the suppression of ϒ mesons in the hot quark-gluon medium (QGP) versus reduced feed-down is investigated. Our model encompasses

Bottomia suppression in PbPb collisions at the LHC

The suppression of ϒ-mesons in the hot quark-gluon medium in PbPb collisions relative to scaled pp at = 2.76 TeV is accounted for in a model that encompasses gluodissociation, collisional damping,

Bottomonium spectroscopy in the quark–gluon plasma

The spectroscopic properties of heavy quarkonia are substantially different in the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) that is created in relativistic heavy-ion collisions as compared to the vacuum situation

Hadron production and ϒ suppression at the LHC

Hadron production in relativistic heavy-ion collisions at LHC energies is in- vestigated. After a brief consideration of stopping, particle production is accounted for in a nonequilibrium-statistical

Hadron production and bottomia suppression at the LHC

Hadron production in relativistic heavy-ion collisions at LHC energies is in- vestigated. After a brief consideration of stopping, particle production is accounted for in a relativistic diffusion

Aspects of heavy-ion collisions at the LHC

Three aspects of relativistic heavy-ion collisions are considered in this article: (1) Stopping and baryon transport in a QCD-based approach, (2) charged-hadron production in a
