It is pointed out that the proportion of activity which is activated by Na+ can be altered by certain treatments, and certain similarities have been found between the pattern of phosphate formation from ATP at low temperatures and that from inosine triphosphate (ITP) at 37".
Dibucaine induced changes in Na+, K+-ATP ase: Influence on the interaction between substrates and enzyme
- Biology
- 1985
The enzyme treated with high concentrations of D in the presence of K+ was shown to be slightly inhibited with the increase in the apparent affinity for ATP, and the inhibitory effects of D is possibly due to interference with the interaction between the enzyme protein and the phospholipids.
