The hybrid library
@article{Brophy1998TheHL, title={The hybrid library}, author={P. Brophy and S. Fisher}, journal={New Review of Information and Library Research}, year={1998}, volume={4}, pages={3-15} }
This paper introduces the concepts of 'hybrid libraries' and 'clumps', as they have evolved within the UK's Electronic Libraries Programme, and relates these to other work on digital and electronic libraries. The paper summarises some of the major issues which remain to be resolved, making some suggestions as to the key areas of both research and operational practice which will need to be brought together to turn such concepts into practical realities.
