In the case of emergency and sudden illness, a simple ad-hoc network based on MOTE has been developed for home health care. The objective system requires installing and handling easily as well as low cost. We have developed a simple ad-hoc network to monitor the behavior and physical activity in daily life. The system consists of low power wireless transmission, interfaces of environment such as temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide, interface of physical activity monitor by acceleration…

Design Reviews of Health Care System

A designed and implemented care system for health diagnosis based on GPS location in the hospital using an embedded Visual C++4.0 and Pocket PC2003 software development kit in an 802.11 wireless network is presented.

Security Authentication for U-Health Application Services

This paper reviews RFID health authentication scheme based on location in the hospital and proposes a handheld care system that consists of a care management module for health diagnosis, a personal record module, a data transport module, and an image information management modules for the clinic.

Long term remote behavioral monitoring of elderly by using sensors installed in ordinary houses

The remote monitoring of the daily routine behavior of elderly patients in their domestic houses in Mizusawa, Japan was attempted and information on several daily behavior patterns, such as the number of door openings, the length of sleep, absences from the house, use of a cooking stove, and time spent watching television were clearly identified.

Developing of the Monitoring System for Single Living Elderly in Welfare Techno House Mizusawa

The human activity measurement based on installed pyroeletric sensors at individual room and electrocardiogram obtained form the electro conductive sheet were used and the long-term monitoring were performed both the experiment house and elderly own residents.

Statistical Analysis of Human Activity in Daily Life through a Data Set from the Infra-red Ray Sensors

A statistical analysis is performed on the human activities in daily life . The data were obtained from seven infra-red ray sensors(attached by Ohta et al.)to several rooms at the single-living
