The JP2 clone of Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans has been implicated in the etiology of periodontitis in adolescents. The aim of this two-year longitudinal study was to describe clinical attachment loss (CAL) progression and to assess its association with baseline occurrence of the JP2 and non-JP2 types of A. actinomycetemcomitans.
