Le genre Paracloeodes (Insecta: Ephemeroptera: Baetidae) est signale pour la premiere fois en Amerique du Sud. En raison de la decouverte d'especes presentant des ailes posterieures ainsi que d'autres caracteres non associes jusqu'ici avec la definition de Paracloeodes, une redescription de ce genre est proposee. Des donnees cladistiques suggerent un centre d'origine Sud-Americain pour ce genre Panamericain. Paracloeodes binodulus, n. sp., est decrit a partir de larves provenant du Bresil…
