New data on anatomy, biology. seed morphology, ecology and nomenclature of Halopeplis amplexicoulis (Vahl) Cesati & al. are presented; this species is the only Iberian representative of the genus Halopeplis Ung.-Sternb. ( Salicorniaceae ). For the first time the whole genus pollen structure is described and chromosome number is reported.

Taxonomic studies in the Camphorosmeae (Chenopodiaceae) 1. Subtribe: Kochiinae (genera: Bassia All., Kochia Roth and Chenolea Thunb.).
TLDR
The plant morphology, anatomical characters of stem, SEM of pollen and seed coat surfaces were used to reassess the taxonomic relationships between the genera Bassia, Chenolea and Kochia and support the treatment of them as different genera. Expand
BIOSYSTEMATIC STUDIES OF BASSIA MURICATA COMPLEX
TLDR
The study based on morphological and anatomical characters, in addition to SEM investigations of both pollen grains and seed coat sculpture, revealed the presence of four distinct races which are dealt here as varieties. Expand
CHROMOSOME NUMBERS AND KARYOTYPE ANALYSES OF SPECIES OF SUBFAMILY SALICORNIOIDEAE (CHENOPODIACEAE) FROM IRAN
TLDR
Chromosome counts are reported from 19 populations representing seven genera and 11 taxa of the subfamily Salicornioideae (Chenopodiaceae) from Iran and the newly described endemic species S. persica is only tetraploid, but the diploid group may represent three different taxa. Expand
An Interesting Re-collection of Halopeplis amplexicauis (Vahl) Ung.-Sternb. from Turkey
The presence of Halopeplis amplexicaulis (Vahl) Ung.-Sternb. in Turkey is confirmed.

Contributions to the flora of Albania
TLDR
Floristic results of the botanical explorations in Albania between 2005 and 2008 are presented and 11 angiosperm taxa are reported and discussed, 11 are species new for the flora of Albania and 7 are rather rare species that had been reported previously but were omitted from all recent floras and the red data book of the country. Chromosome number and size variations in the Australian Salicornioideae (Chenopodiaceae)—evidence of polyploidisation
TLDR
The results indicated that the Australian Salicornioideae have a basic chromosome number of x = 9, congruent with other members of the Chenopodiaceae, particularly in the largest genus Halosarcia. Expand
A cytological study of flowering plants from Saudi Arabia
TLDR
The chromosome numbers of 31 taxa belonging to 14 families of angiosperms collected from different regions of Saudi Arabia are reported, including first chromosome number reports for six species and new basic number and/or a new ploidy level for two species. Expand
Hydroperiod length as key parameter controlling seed strategies in Mediterranean salt marshes: The case of Halopeplis amplexicaulis
TLDR
This work identified the determinant environmental factors involved in population survival of Halopeplis amplexicaulis, a threatened annual species inhabiting salt marshes, and proved a direct correlation between seed factors and the maternal environment determining the hydroperiod length, particularly autumn and winter temperatures, responsible of life cycle extent.
