Abstract Recent collections and herbarium specimens of Rugonectria and Thelonectria from different regions of China were examined. Using combined analyses of morphological and molecular data, 17 species are recognised including three species of Rugonectria and 14 species in Thelonectria. Amongst them, R.microconidia and T.guangdongensis are new to science. Rugonectriamicroconidia on mossy bark is characterised by superficial, yellow to orange, pyriform to subglobose perithecia with a warted…

A New Species of Thelonectria and a New Record of Cephalotrichum hinnuleum from Gunwi and Ulleungdo in Korea
TLDR
Three fungal strains belonging to the class Sordariomycetes were isolated from soils collected from Gyeongsangbuk-do in Korea and it was found that T. chlamydospora sp.
Observations on early fungal infections with relevance for replant disease in fine roots of the rose rootstock Rosa corymbifera 'Laxa'
TLDR
In greenhouse pot trials with seedlings of the RRD-sensitive rootstock Rosa corymbifera ‘Laxa’ cultured in replant disease affected soils from two different locations, early RRD symptom development was studied in fine roots and similarities to ARD symptoms were found.

The genus Thelonectria (Nectriaceae, Hypocreales, Ascomycota) and closely related species with cylindrocarpon-like asexual states
TLDR
The objective of this study was to infer species rank phylogenetic relationships of the genus Thelonectria and closely related species with cylindrocarpon-like asexual states and test the monophyly of each of the groups studied, and resolve nomenclatural issues by identifying redundantly used names and synonyms.
Phylogeny and taxonomic revision of Thelonectria discophora (Ascomycota, Hypocreales, Nectriaceae) species complex
TLDR
By combining the results of phylogenetic analyses of six nuclear loci and morphological studies, the taxonomy of the T. discophora species complex is revised, resulting in the description of 12 new species and four new combinations based on historic names.
Four new taxa of Ilyonectria and Thelonectria (Nectriaceae) revealed by morphology and combined ITS and β-tubulin sequence data
Thelonectria beijingensis sp. nov. is characterized by a distinct perithecial wall of textura epidermoidea mixed with textura intricata, purple to brown colonies, curved cylindrical macroconidia with
Neonectria and Cylindrocarpon: the Nectria mammoidea group and species lacking microconidia.
TLDR
A key to nectriaceous species of Neonectria that have Cylindrocarpon anamorphs that lack microconidia and chlamydospores and/or that have a N. mammoidea type perithecial wall anatomy is presented.
Neonectria and Cylindrocarpon: the Nectria mammoidea group and species lacking microconidia
TLDR
A key to nectriaceous species of Neonectria that have Cylindrocarpon anamorphs that lack microconidia and chlamydospores and/or that have a N. mammoidea type perithecial wall anatomy is presented.
Delimitation of Neonectria and Cylindrocarpon (Nectriaceae, Hypocreales, Ascomycota) and related genera with Cylindrocarpon-like anamorphs
TLDR
A multilocus analysis was applied to representatives of the informal groups to determine their level of phylogenetic support as a first step towards taxonomic revision of Neonectria sensu lato and five genera are recognised.
Bionectriaceous fungi collected from forests in Taiwan.
TLDR
Nineteen fungi of the family Nectriaceae collected from forests in Taiwan are reported, including Albonectria albida, A. rigidiuscula, H. haematococca, and N. pseudotrichia have previously been reported in Taiwan; others represent new records.
The Trichoderma koningii aggregate species
TLDR
Phylogenetic analysis utilizing partial sequences of the translation-elongation factor 1 alpha (tef1), as well as fragments of actin and calmodulin genes, indicate that phenotypic characters typical of T. koningii evolved independently in three well-separated main lineages.
A monograph of Allantonectria, Nectria, and Pleonectria (Nectriaceae, Hypocreales, Ascomycota) and their pycnidial, sporodochial, and synnematous anamorphs
TLDR
Results from the phylogenetic analyses demonstrate that species previously regarded as the genus Nectria having Gyrostroma, Tubercularia, and Zythiostroma anamorphs belong in two major paraphyletic clades.
Multigene phylogenetic analyses of the Thelonectria coronata and T. veuillotiana species complexes
TLDR
A multi-gene phylogeny reconstructed with maximum parsimony, maximum likelihood and Bayesian approaches identified five phylogenetic groups in T. coronata and T. veuillotiana, and an increased number of non-synonymous/synonymous substitutions in the β-tubu-lin gene and a decreased or absent production of conidia were detected within the T. coronary complex, possibly indicating the homothallic nature of these isolates.
