Aims. Photometric and spectroscopic observations of the galaxy population of the galaxy cluster Abell 1367 have been obtained, over a field of 34 × 90 , covering the cluster centre out to a radius of ∼2.2 Mpc. Optical broad- and narrow-band imaging was used to determine galaxy luminosities, diameters and morphologies, and to study current star formation activity of a sample of cluster galaxies. Near-infrared imaging was obtained to estimate integrated stellar masses, and to aid the… Expand
A study of star formation by Hα emission of galaxies in the galaxy group NGC 4213
This research aims to study hydrogen alpha emission, corresponding to star formation of galaxies in the NGC 4213 group that has an average recession velocity of 6,821 km/s. The imaging observationsExpand
GHASP: an H alpha kinematic survey of spiral galaxies - X. Surface photometry, decompositions and the Tully-Fisher relation in the R-c band
We present R-c-band surface photometry for 170 of the 203 galaxies in GHASP, the Gassendi H-alpha survey of spirals, a sample of late-type galaxies for which high-resolution Fabry-Perot H alpha mapsExpand
We presents a study of interactions between galaxies in the low-redshift group known as the NGC 4065 group. Imaging data were taken using the 2.4 meter telescope at the Thai National ObservatoryExpand
Extended Ionized Gas Clouds in the Abell 1367 Cluster
We surveyed a central 0.6 deg^2 region of Abell 1367 cluster for extended ionized gas clouds (EIGs) using the Subaru prime-focus camera (Suprime-Cam) with a narrow-band filter that covers Halpha. WeExpand

Star-forming galaxies in low-redshift clusters: data and integrated galaxy properties
Aims. This paper is a continuation of an ongoing study of the evolutionary processes affecting cluster galaxies. Methods. Both CCD R band and Hα narrow-band imaging was used to determine photometricExpand
Optical spectroscopy and the UV luminosity function of galaxies in the Abell 1367, Coma and Virgo clusters
Optical spectroscopy of 93 galaxies, 60 projected in the direction of Abell 1367, 21 onto the Coma cluster and 12 on Virgo, is reported. The targets were selected because they were detected inExpand
The Star Formation Properties of Disk Galaxies: Hα Imaging of Galaxies in the Coma Supercluster*
We present integrated Hα measurements obtained from imaging observations of 98 late-type galaxies, primarily selected in the Coma supercluster. These data, combined with Hα photometry from theExpand
Our principal aim is to compare global star formation rates between cluster galaxies and field galaxies in order to clarify environmental influence on star formation. We use an objective prismExpand
The fate of spiral galaxies in clusters : The star formation history of the anemic virgo cluster galaxy NGC 4569
We present a new method for studying the star formation history of late-type cluster galaxies undergoing gas starvation or a ram pressure stripping event by combining bidimensional multifrequencyExpand
Observational properties of clusters of galaxies and some theoretical interpretations are reviewed. The major subjects of the review include catalogs of clusters, the static properties of richExpand
Discovery of a Group of Star-forming Dwarf Galaxies in A1367
We describe the properties of a remarkable group of actively star-forming dwarf galaxies and H II galaxies in the A1367 cluster, which were discovered in a large-scale Halpha imaging survey of theExpand
2MASS large galaxy atlas
We present the largest galaxies as seen in the near-infrared (1–2 μm), imaged with the Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS), ranging in angular size from 1' to 15. We highlight the 100 largest in theExpand
An ultraviolet-selected galaxy redshift survey -- II. The physical nature of star formation in an enlarged sample
We present further spectroscopic observations for a sample of galaxies selected in the vacuum ultraviolet (UV) at 2000 A from the FOCA balloon-borne imaging camera of Milliard et al. This workExpand
NOAO Fundamental Plane Survey. I. Survey Design, Redshifts, and Velocity Dispersion Data
We introduce the NOAO Fundamental Plane Survey (NFPS), a wide-field imaging/spectroscopic study of rich, low-redshift galaxy clusters. The survey targets X-ray–selected clusters at 0.010 < z < 0.067,Expand
